Terracotta Urns

"Finial"terracotta urns are a constant of the Tuscan landscape. These pieces were very common as decorative pieces on walls, and especially on the gates of ancient villas in the countryside. As time goes by, some of these urns appear in antique shops and market. Alternatively, good urns can be made by contemporary craftsmen. Occasionally, I have antique urns for sale. In the first picture ou can see me with an antique piece (sold in 2001). In the oher photos I am showing you some pieces made by my friend Sandro Ricceri, who makes them by hand in traditional design. In the last one, Mr. Ricceri, the maker, with one of his pieces.
