French
Grotesque Mask
A very special object,
a stone mask made by French artist
Gilles Meunier. Meunier lives in Provence, not far from Aix-en-Provence and he
makes stone pieces in the local "Vaucluse" stone. He finds inspiration
from ancient gothic art and the results are very special, as you can see in this
rather spectacular piece. This mask is about 40 cm high, it can be used as a decorative
piece or as part of a fountain. It is signed an dated (1994) on the back. You
can see me with the mask in one of these pictures. For more details, write
me.
